Late night arrive at Delhi - IGI (Indira Gandhi International) airport.

Delhi - is a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi created by the British Raj is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and many empires for about a millennium. Many a times the city was built, destroyed and then rebuilt here. Interestingly, a number of Delhi's rulers played a dual role, first as destroyers and then as creators. 

On arrival meeting, assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Where our executive will explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, hotel's vouchers, feedback report etc) to you. Overnight at hotel.

Morning breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. In time transfer to railway station to board on train to Varanasi. Overnight in train.

Day 03: Arrive Varanasi
Morning arrive at Varanasi railway station. Varanasi situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, Varanasi has been a center of pilgrimage and learning for over 2000 years and is considered to be one of the oldest surviving cities in the world. On arrival meeting, assistance at railway station by our representative and transfer to hotel.

After wash and change at hotel excursion to Sarnath - After the Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, he came to Sarnath. Here in the Deer Park, he delivered his first sermon or set in motion the Wheel of Law (Maha Dharmachakra Pravartan.) Evening see AARTI at river Ghat. Overnight at hotel.

w3infotekDay 04: Varanasi - ENJOY EARLY MORNING BOAT RIDE - New Jalpaiguri (Train)
Early morning enjoy boat rideto watch the sunrise over the Ganges when hundred of people are worshiping & taking bath. Later return back to hotel.
In the afternoon, visit famous temples and Kashi Hindu Universitywhere more than fifty thousand students from all over the world are learning.

Morning arrive at New Jalpaiguri railway station. NJP is the nearest railway station to reach Darjeeling. Full day Gangtok City tour (Timing 8.30AM to 4.30PM). Visit Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, and Santi View Point, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten, Government Institute of Cottage Industry (Closed on Sunday, 2nd Saturday), Orchid House Flower Show. After lunch visit Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok and Bakthang Falls. Back to hotel and free evening. Overnight at Gangtok.

Morning arrive at Kolkata railway station. Kolkata, the bustling capital city of West Bengal, is the hub of Bengali culture in India. The city which is the cultural capital of whole India and the commercial capital of Eastern India was earlier known as Calcutta as it was pronounced since the British rule and has changed to Kolkata. After breakfast at hotel enjoy half day city tour including Fort William Situated at the banks of river Hooghly, it was named after King William III of England. Victoria Memorial Hall - Victoria memorial hall is a fabulous museum that was established in the year 1921. The credit for designing and drawing the plan for this monument goes to Sir William Emerson, President of the British Institute of Architects. Howrah Bridge located over the Hoogli River in West Bengal, India, is said to be the busiest bridge of the world. It got its name owing to the fact that it connects the city of Howrah to Calcutta. Hawrah Bridge in Kolkata, India, also known by the name 'Rabindra Setu. Birla Planetarium India is one of the largest museums in Asia. It came into existence in the year 1962 and the credit for establishing this wonderful center of science, communication & environment goes to Birla Education Trust. After wash and change at hotel. visit Shree Jagannath Puri temple - Jagannath is an impressing and amazing structure constructed in Kalinga architecture, with a height of 65 meters placed on an elevated platform. w3infotekDay 19: Puri - Konark - Bhubaneswar (63 Kms ) - Visakhapatnam (Train)
Morning breakfast at hotel drive to Bhubaneswar enroute visit to Konark - The magnificent Sun Temple at Konark is the culmination of Orissan temple architecture, and one of the most stunning monuments of religious architecture in the world. Bhubaneswar "The Lord of the Universe" is also popularly known as the "Temple City of India". The seat of Shiva or Tribhubaneswar "Lord of the Three Worlds", from which the city derives its name, Bhubaneswar is an important Hindu pilgrimage. On arrival visit Lingaraj Temple - Lingaraj Temple dedicated to Shiva as Lord Lingaraj. Lingaraj compound has another outstanding temple, dedicated to Parvati. Mukteswar, Siddheswar and Kedargauri Temples. Mukteswar Mandir, the Gem of Orissan architecture. The carvings of dwarfs are particularly striking. In front of the temple there is a beautiful arched architrave clearly showing a Buddhist influence. The walls are covered with figures of female warriors, erotic scenes, elephants, maidens and monkeys in various comic scenes. Parasuramesvera Temple.  It's the best preserved of all ancient temples and has finely detailed bas-reliefs of elephant and horse processions and Siva images.

Morning arrive at Visakhapatnam railway station. Visakhapatnam (sometimes spelled as Vishakhapatnam and often abbreviated to Vizag) is a port city on the southeast coast of India and often called "The Jewel of the East Coast". With a population of 2,035,690, and occupying 681 square kilometres (263 sq mi), it is the second largest city in the state of Andhra Pradesh and the third largest city on the east coast of India (after Chennai and Kolkata). After wash and change at hotel visit The British east India Company's St. George Fort is a famous landmark of Chennai. Another colonial structure in the city of Chennai worth visiting is the Santhome Cathedral & Marina Beach. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel drive to visit Kanchipuram - the city of temples.Conjeevaram is the English name of the ancient Kancheepuram like all ancient cities, Kancheepuram situated on the banks of a river, Vegavati.  The city of thousand temples, is one of the seven most sacred pilgrim centres for the Hindus. Kanchipuram owns 108 temples dedicated to Siva and 18 to Vishnu besides scores of other temples, mosques and churches and Adi Shankara Mutt. Today, apart from its temples, this small town is also known for its thriving handloom industry, traditional cotton and silk saris. On arrival, visit famous temples & places. Kanchipuram, is also known as the 'silk paradise' is world renowned for its hand-woven silk saris, which are from pure mulberry silk.

Later continue your drive to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram - The religious centre of Mamallapuram (formerly Mahabalipuram) was founded by a 7th-century-CE Pallava king, Narasimhavarman, also called Mamalla ("great wrestler"), for whom the town was named. After breakfast at hotel visit Auroville -A real example of community living and gradually flourishing, Auroville is conceived as a ‘Universal Town’. This is a place were people with different nationalities; beliefs and culture live in harmony. This amazing city of community living was started in 1968 by the Maa, renowned disciple of Shri Aurobindo, also visit Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum and sculpture gallery with an outstanding collection of artifacts. After breakfast at hotel drive to visit Chidambaram. Chidambaram is among the most venerated towns in the Southern India. The sacred city has some of the finest of the architectural marvels that its famous temples reflect.

Later continue drive to Tanjore. Tanjore is the "Rice bowl of Tamil Nadu" and famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple was constructed more than thousand years ago by the King Rajarajan, is an architect's marvel. It is a flourishing centre for bronze sculpture and painting. Thanjavur was the royal city of the Cholas, Nayaks and the Mahrattas. Thanjavur was at height of its glory during Rajaraja Cholan. The Big Temple and the other famous temples in the district are known all over the world. Thanjavur was the cultural capital of the country in 1790. On arrival, check in at hotel. After breakfast at hotel hotel visit Brahadeeswara Temple - Sculpture of Nandi (Bull) & Royal Palace Complex. Laterdrive to Rameshwaram.  is a small island in the Gulf of Mannar, is a major pilgrim centre. It is connected to the mainland by road and railway bridges. Rameshwaram is a holy place because Sri Rama, on his return from Sri Lanka, offered his thanks to Lord Shiva and performed pooja to wash away his sin in killing the Demon King, Ravana.

Rameshwaram is known for its 22 theerthas or wells in and around the main temple. This place is equally sacred to both Vaishnavites and Shaivites. According to Hindu Mythology, if one visits Rameshwaram and prays to Lord Shiva one will be relieved of one's sins. It is 197 metres long. The Ramanathaswamy temple is renowned for its magnificent corridors and massive sculptured pillars. The third corridor of Ramanathaswamy temple is the longest one in the world.  Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple , Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge , gnitheertham Villoondi Tirtham - Lord Rama is believed to have shot his arrow, Gandamadana Parvatham - Imprint of Lord Rama's feet on a chakra, Dhanushkodi Beach. After an early breakfast drive to Trichy. Trichy was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English.

After breakfast climb the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. This UNESCO World Heritage site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka's major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror Wall with ancient graffiti, the Lion platform and the Summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of Sigiriya's glory. w3infotekDay 32: Sigiriya - Excursion tour to Polonnaruwa

After breakfast excursion to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital. Polonnaruwa a UNESCO World Heritage site, rose to fame as the capital after the decline of Anuradhapura. Its period of greatness was from the 10th - 12th centuries AD.  The entire landscape of the region is punctuated by huge man-made reservoirs, veritable inland seas the most famous of which is the PrakramaSamudra or the Sea of Parakrama, larger in size than the Colombo harbor. The monuments of this medieval city are relatively well preserved and give clear evidence of the glory of Sri Lanka's past. See the Royal Palace complex, the Quadrangle with its concentration of ancient Heritage and the spectacular Gal Vihare complex of four massive images of the Buddha, cut from a single slab of granite a highlight of ancient Sri Lankan rock carving. Proceed to Kandy visiting a spice garden in Matale where you will learn the versatility of the Lankan spices which made the island famous amongst the ancient European travellers, During the visit to spice garden we will arrange 10 minutes head or foot herbal massage for all passengers.

On arrival chek in at hotel. Evening city tour of Kandy including a visit to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth, this will be followed by a cultural dance performance. Home to the sacred relic of the tooth of the Buddha, a visit to the Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the Tooth, is an experience no tourist should miss said to have been snatched from the Buddha's funeral pyre and smuggled to Sri Lanka in the hair of a princess, the tooth relic is of great spiritual significance. After breakfast at hotel visit Sree Meenakshi Temple, one of the most prominent temple dedicated to Lord Shiva who was known here as Sundareshvara and his wife Parvati or Meenakshi, Thirumalai Nayak  Palace, a magnificent palace that was built by King Thirumalai Nayak with valuable assistance of an Italian architect in the year 1636. Gandhi Museum & Thirupparankunramfamous for the Pandyan rock-cut shrines that date back to the 8th century that later came to be known as the Nayaka Hindu temple. You will find a wide range of Hindu deities carved on the walls on your visit to this temple. Evening one can watch night ceremony at Sree Meenakshi Temple.
